Cetificate in Mathematics Entry 2

The course in Mathematics offers opportunities for a wide range of learners to build confidence and knowledge in the core skills of mathematics. The qualifications consist of units at each level from Awards to certificates at Entry 1 to Level 2. The units are designed to target the specific skills needs of learners, build confidence in their mathematical skills, filling gaps in their knowledge of the fundamentals of mathematics to enable progression to other qualifications, further learning or employment; with the objective being to prepare learners for employment or further study, support a role in the work place and to encourage engagement in learning. These qualifications provide stepping stones towards embedding the core concepts in mathematics and towards the achievement of GCSEs, Functional Skills, and employment and being independent individuals. The units are based upon the National Standards for Adult Numeracy.
