French Beginners is currently running at Guisborough Library The course is designed for absolute beginners and covers the basic language needed in everyday situations on a visit to France. The classes are informal and relaxed; activities are designed to help you speak as much French as possible. Spoken language is practised in simple role-plays, paired/small group work. You will also practise reading, writing and listening skills. Topics covered include greetings, talking about yourself, ordering your drinks and your meal, asking for directions, booking a room and using public transport.
