These qualification will provide learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children or young people in school environments. This is course is suitable for teaching assistants, learning support assistants or those in similar role at level 3. On this course you will attend once a week training at theCollege to cover the knowledge and understanding to underpin the qualification. Thisincludes understanding how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people, communication and professional relationships with children and young people, Schools as organisations, support learning activities, promote children and young people's positive behaviour, develop professional relationships with children, young people and adults, promote equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young. An assessor will observe you at work and talk to you about why you work in particular ways. This will show your knowledge and understanding of the job you are doing. You will also collect a portfolio of evidence from your day to day work such as witness statements, e-mails or reports and activity plans.
