UPDATED 20150918 12:06:51

The A Level course gives students the opportunity to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of photography. The students mainly work using digital camera techniques. They learn to edit and manipulate images in creative ways. There are opportunities to work with still and moving images, employing varied and creative approaches. The coursework and examination requires the creation of a substantial quantity of practical work, an understanding of process and an appreciation of the importance of other artists and photographers. Students are encouraged to carry out independent research, and to visit galleries and exhibitions in order to experience historical and contemporary photography and art at first hand.
