The AS course contains two units for study, both of which are examined at the end of the AS year. The full A Level course contains four units for study, including one extended coursework assignment and three examination units. Although AS units do not form part of the overall A Level qualification, the skills and most of the areas of study are transferable to the final examinations and coursework unit.
