Media Studies (GCEAS)

UPDATED 20161104 11:54:49

Media Studies Advanced Subsidiary Level This consistently popular subject combines the nurturing of critical and analytical skills with a heavy emphasis on practical film-making. There is a strong ethos of independent learning, with students being encouraged to utilise and pursue their own interests in a subject which fully acknowledges the empowerment of young people in today’s digitallysaturated media environment. Core learning objectives are informed by the exploration of the relationship between media texts, their audiences and the organisations which produce and distribute them.
