Level 2 Diploma in Nail Technology

On this course you will learn about the theory of nails, anatomy and physiology. You will also have 'hands on' practical experience in manicure, pedicure, nail extensions and nail art. You will work in reception and learn how to maintain confidential client records, stock control, handling money, booking appointments and answering the phone. You may also have the opportunity to participate in a work placement or you may secure part-time employment at a salon.

Name: Level 2 Diploma in Nail Technology Qualification title: Diploma in Nail Technology Enhancement (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You will be assessed in two ways in each unit. You will have to demonstrate that you have mastered the practical skills required for the unit by working on clients in the Aspire College Beauty salons. You will also have to demonstrate you have acquired the knowledge and understanding for the unit by passing your online exam. More information on the salons can be found here. A minimum of 3-hours a week home study is required. Most weeks you will have to sit an online exam. You will need to revise for these exams as the pass mark is 70%. Entry requirements

You will be required to purchase a uniform and nail kit is required for this course. The approximate cost of the Kit is £300 and the uniform £70 and order forms will be sent out prior to the course starting. We also arrange educational visits as part of the course and the cost of this is approximately £50.00 There is a charge made to all clients who are using the Aspire Beauty Salon.
