Skills for Life ESOL (Writing) Entry Level 3 Certificate

This course is for adults of any age who live, temporarily or permanently, in this country and do not have English as a first language. This is a 10 week course which leads to an Entry Level 3 ESOL exam in Writing. The lessons will be 2and 3 quarters hours on two days a week. There will be an optional third lesson on Fridays at an extra cost. Courses will not run on Bank Holidays or Staff Development days. This course will cover the following topics: -  Leisure Activities -  Food and Drink -  Holidays -  Jobs -  Homes -  Travel and transport -  Places to stay / visiting places -  Writing Skills - spelling, punctuation -  Write e-mails, formal and informal letters, short stories and narratives, forms, reports, articles, CVs

Name: Skills for Life ESOL (Writing) Entry Level 3 Certificate Qualification title: Award In ESOL Skills for Life (writing) (Entry 3) (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You will need to study at home. You can use the College website (e-study) to help you learn English using our exercises, games and quizzes for your level. There will be exam practice during the course to help you prepare for the Writing exam. You will also have an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) with your own learning targets to help you focus on parts of writing which you find particularly difficult. You will need to take an exam as part of the course. The date of the exam will be 2nd December 2015. Entry requirements

You need: -  An English - English dictionary -  A pen and paper for class work -  The Internet to help you do work on your ownThe fee will include exam costs. The optional third lesson on Fridays will cost extra. If the College cancels courses, fees will be refunded. If you cancel your course a week before it starts, you will get a refund but you will have to pay an administration fee. If you get Jobseeker's Allowance or Employment Support Allowance (Work Related Activity Group only), Universal Credit (because of unemployment and are mandated to undertake skills training) or another state benefit and are currently unemployed, you may be eligible to full fee remission for this course.
