Level 3 Farm Mechanisation

During this course you will learn how to work effectively with agricultural machinery in a range of landbased situations, both on our farm and in the workshops.A key part of the learning experience will be undertaking fun and challenging projects which include a 24-hour ploughing marathon, grass and maize forage harvesting operations, autumn crop establishment and large scale materials handling exercises.You will also have the opportunity to become part of the 'Lackham Ballistic' tractor pulling team, running a high performance tractor on the national circuit during your second year. These activities are all designed to develop your skills, understanding, teamwork and confidence to meet the challenges of working in the Farm Mechanisation sector.
