: The course gives students a solid grounding in French language skills, as well as knowledge of the culture and society of the French speaking world. Students develop the skills, vocabulary and grammar to discuss and analyse a wide range of topical themes, covering Social Issues and Trends (family, digital world, fashion, music, TV, immigration, integration, racism), Political and Artistic Culture (festivals and traditions, art and architecture, the EU, politics, history) and Literary Texts and Films. These topics of interest complement other A Level subjects such as English Literature, Film Studies, Media Studies, Sociology, Politics and History.
