Spoken and written language and the hybrids made possible by technology all come under the spotlight. English Language involves learning how to explore and talk about language; learning about how language is acquired and how it changes; learning how to deconstruct and analyse its use in different contexts and how to create texts and explain your language choices. Texts studied are brief and encompass every possible use of language. The course is both creative and analytical in its range. It gives you the chance to bring your interests into play and encourages you to think beneath the surface of the language sea on which we unconsciously float.
