Criminology Level 2

The course is designed to give an insight into some of the key aspects of criminology. Criminology is a multidisciplinary subject which draws on law, psychology and sociology to examine and explain crime. It is the study of criminals, victims and theories explaining illegal behaviour. The course examines what happens to people once they commit crime, how evidence is gathered and the criminal justice process. You will also look at the social reaction to crime and the effectiveness of anti-crime policies. The course aims to provide a basic understanding of crime and deviance and provide understanding of careers in criminology. You will also develop your evaluation skills whilst gaining a qualification which will be invaluable if you want to progress to Level 3 Criminology.
