Welcome to A level Film Studies, a popular and student-centered subject, which allows students to study all aspects of film from the USA, the UK and other countries from around the world. The subject also provides students with opportunities for creative production work and for developing their research skills. You will study a wide range of different kinds of films; developing skills of observation and critical analysis on significant film movements. Film Studies courses are increasingly popular at Colleges and Universities and, as such, can lead to employment within the film, media and journalistic industries. At A Level, you will study various units aimed at fostering a higher understanding of cinematic analysis. The course is assessed through an internal coursework assessment and a summer exam.
