History AS will cover the economic, social and political aspects of British and international history over a period of 200 years. Students are expected and encouraged to pursue some of their own areas of interest emerging out of the areas of study and to complete research and background reading. Strong self-motivation is therefore needed. Advice is given on the evaluation of documents and essay writing, including specimen answers.
