In Economics you will look at the fundamental forces which affect our lives, such as employment, prices, international trade and poverty. During your Economics studies you will focus on both Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Microeconomics addresses issues such as why house prices are so high, if pollution can effectively be controlled and whether governments should interfere with markets. The macroeconomic issues covered include why the Government has an inflation rate target and how it affects us, what happens to the economy if people decide to spend more and how we are affected by the Chinese and Indian economies.
