The course is designed to prepare students to become professionally qualified in the provision of manicure treatments.You will learn how to:Carry out client consultation Recognise nail disorders treatable nail conditions and contra-indicationsUnderstand the anatomy and physiology of the lower arm the skin and its functionsSelection and use of products equipment and chemicalsRecognise skin and nail care products Recognise massage technique Recognise sterilisation methods Recognise communication methods professional behaviour to include following safety practicesUnderstand applicable legislationUnderstand specialist manicure treatments Select appropriate products and provide clear recommendationsComplete treatment to the clients satisfaction and record results Provide aftercare advice including recommended retail products and servicesFurther develop skills to enable progression routes to other organisations Procedures to follow in the event of emergencies to include fire fighting equipment Employment rights and responsibilities Your tutor will give you more information about the course at your first session.How will I be taught and will there be any work outside the class?The course involves both theory and practical class elements.
