GCE A Level Economics

UPDATED 20161102 16:46:53

In Economics we identify, analyse and evaluate the economic events that unfold before us each and every day. From the household and firm level – what we call the Microeconomy - to UK Government and global levels – what we call the Macroeconomy. We try to explain economic phenomena using economic models and theories – scientific method. We do not merely describe what we see, but try to understand it and predict what might happen next. If you are interested in how decisions are made about the way we use our planet’s scarce resources, and how the political and social implications of these decisions affect each and every one of us every day, then Economics will be a stimulating, challenging and valuable A level choice for you.
