This course combines tuition in basic techniques in watercolours for beginners to more challenging projects for students with experience. It aims to develop individual potential, both technical and creative. This course will cover aspects of drawing and watercolour painting techniques and will provide an introduction into mixed media with watercolours. Basic watercolours - with a small 'pan' (block) set of about 10 colours or 3 tubes (Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow and Ultra Marine Blue). Pencils 2B and 4B, sheets of Bockingford 140 watercolour paper and a putty rubber. A3 or A4 sketchbooks are available to buy from the College. There is an option to register for an NCFE qualification. Your tutor will discuss the details with you at the start of the course and if you choose this route you will be enrolled onto the qualification. There will be extra costs to take the qualification.
