Apprenticeships are practical hands on programmes designed to provide you with the relevant, practical training, which will enable you to progress with you chosen industry. The Advanced Apprenticeship follows on for the basic beauty therapy techniques you will have covered on a Level 2 Nail Services or Beauty Therapy training programme. As an Advanced Nail Technician Apprentice you will work under guidance of a qualified Therapist/Technician; assisting other members of staff and carrying out other beauty treatments you are qualified in. Duties are likely to include gel nails, liquid and powder nails, fibreglass nails, nail art and 3D nail art. You will study topics such as anatomy and physiology, consultation and client care, health and safety, financial effectiveness and planning a promotion. On this advanced apprenticeship programme you are promoting your skills and industry so it is important that you look smart and your appearance reflects the image of your salon. Good communication plays a role too; you-ll need to understand exactly what you customer wants in order to fulfil their needs.
