Advanced Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy - Massage

UPDATED 20150914 13:09:03

Apprenticeships are practical hands on programmes designed to provide you with the relevant, practical training, which will enable you to progress with you chosen industry. The Advanced Apprenticeship follows on from the basic beauty therapy techniques you will have covered on a Level 2 Beauty Therapy training programme. As an Advanced Beauty Therapist Apprentice you will work under guidance of a qualified Therapist/Technician; assisting other members of staff and carrying out other beauty treatments you are qualified in. Duties are likely to include body massage, hot stone massage, Indian head massage, and aromatherapy. You will study topics such as anatomy and physiology, consultation and client care, health and safety and planning a promotion and financial effectiveness. On this advanced apprenticeship programme you are promoting your skills and industry so it is important that you look smart and your appearance reflects the image of your salon. Good communication plays a role too; you-ll need to understand exactly what you customer wants in order to fulfil their needs.
