A BTEC First Certificate provides the perfect start to your career in Travel & Tourism. The course gives students the opportunity to study a wide range of Travel related subjects and provides the ideal basis for progression to L3 or indeed employment within the industry. The course consists of topical units including the UK Travel and Tourism Sector, Understanding Customer Service in Travel and Tourism, Understanding the Nature and Effects of World Travel, Exploring Airports and Airlines and Long Haul Travel Destinations. The units of study are supported by vocational experiences such as a Cabin Crew Training Day at Virgin Atlantic. Also built within the timetable are opportunities for students to study GCSE English and Mathematics amongst other options. Trips and visits are always an integral part of the course and students will be given opportunity to visit local attractions as well participating in a residential overseas excursion to destinations such as New York, Barcelona and Rome
