This is an essential qualification for entry to employment, further and higher education. The course covers both oral and written language, writing and reading skills. Some study of literature, including Shakespeare, is included but the emphasis is on clear, competent and fluent writing. The tuition time allowed for this course is two and a half hours per week and therefore very intensive, needing a high level of commitment from the student to succeed. Please note that this is an examination class and it is a condition of acceptance on the course that students sit the exam. Entry Requirements: By interview with an assessment test.
