This is a busy, exciting and performance centred course based in the purpose built Performing Arts Centre. It is a Stage Management and Technical Theatre course structured around the creation, production and support of specific projects and the development of your vocational skills. During the course you will explore and develop your creative production skills in stage management; mask and prop - making; stage design and construction; lighting, sound and video. Performances that you may support and work on include street performance; pantomime performances and tours; contemporary and classical plays; dance performances; vocational theatre projects which are toured to local schools and the wider community and a wide range of original innovative performance projects. There are trips to venues such as The Globe and the National Theatre during the course, as well as local visits to Brighton Pavilion, Theatre Royal Brighton and Eastbourne Theatres. There are also opportunities to participate in international trips, workshops and activities. Previous trips have included Paris and New York.
