In this course you cover a range of topics under the following headings: Youth Culture and Concerns, Lifestyle, Health and Fitness, Travel and Tourism, Environmental Issues, Education and Employment. You will practise to develop more advanced listening and reading skills in a variety of contexts, whilst finding out about French culture and ways of life. You will learn to communicate with confidence and increased accuracy in written and spoken French, expressing your point of view. The study of French grammar is an important, integral part of the course. The study programme is supplemented with weekly oral classes in small groups with a native speaker. You will also study independently in the Languages Self Access Centre, which is fully equipped with books, study guides, magazines, and computer - assisted learning resources. A study visit to Paris or exchange with a 'Lycee' in Rouen will further enhance your experience and learning.
