DIP L3 90 CREDIT HORTICULTURE

This qualification is ideal if you want to develop your horticulture skills to be a more senior worker or manager working in gardening or grounds keeping. You'll gain indepth insight into the techniques and science of horticulture. You will cover plant and soil science propagation creating displays amenity turf management organic crop production and carry out a project. You'll also gain plenty of practical experience in a variety of skills from maintaining different types of turf to pruning shrubs and trees. You will undertake a work placement which we will support you with. Much of the work will be undertaken outdoors in our wellequipped Horticulture Unit so suitable clothing and footwear is essential. The course will run for 3 days per week. For entry you need to have 4 GCSEs grade C or above or a relevant L2 vocational qualification.
