The course will provide you with the skills to deal with an emergency situation involving infants and children until the emergency services arrive. This course meets the first aid requirements of Ofsted for the Early Years Foundation Stage standards the National Childminding Association the PreSchool Learning Alliance and the Department for Children Schools and Families Surestart guidelines for Paediatric First Aid.The course includes Resuscitation managing the unconscious casualty control of bleeding/shock management treating burns and scalds recognising illnesses and personal protection when treating wounds. You will be assessed by written and practical exercises. Certification is through First Aid International and qualifications are valid for 3 years.
