The course is made up of seven units delivered over three stages: Stage One-Exploratory Stage Two-Pathway Stage Three-Confirmatory It offers a friendly and supportive environment to develop your skills, appraise your strengths and develop your ideas. The course is characterised by experimental and experiential learning; work is mainly assignment led, underpinned by contextual studies; researching contemporary and historic practitioners to support your studio based work. You will also develop your skills in digital media, photography, drawing; including working from the life model, 3D design, pattern cutting and printmaking. Students work mainly in the Foundation Base Studio; a unique space, providing each leaner with a personal work space, similar to degree level learning, giving you the opportunity to develop independent research and self motivated study in preparation for university. As the course progresses your work will be become more focused, reflecting your specialist area of interest.
