Photography for Improvers (Shoot it, Retouch it)

UPDATED 20150904 12:29:15

This course covers taking pictures in college using the photographic studio as well as out, and using image manipulation to get the best out of them. We shall also look at photography in the wider context: pictures from other artists, magazines, the internet etc. and aim to understand and replicate how they were created, both photographically and on the computer. Approximately half the time will be spent taking and evaluating pictures, and half working on the computer in Photoshop CS5, and you will learn to improve your skills in both areas. This is a non-vocational course so doesn't lead to a qualification. We aim to improve your photography and have fun at the same time. A College Certificate can be awarded on request.Lessons will be based in the classroom, photographic studio and computer suite, as well as out on location. The emphasis is on practical activity but will include demonstrations, talks and discussions. The course will be run flexibly, and we may be able to cover requests from the class members.Students can progress to the Level 1 NCFE Photography course or other suitable Eastleigh College photography courses, please browse the website for other possible courses.
