Level 3 Diploma in Make-Up Artistry (VTCT)

The course covers the following units: -Apply make-up -Camouflage Make-up -Design and apply face and body art -Fashion and photographic make-up -Instruction on make-up application -Media Make-Up -Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon -Promote products and services to clients in a salon -Client care and communication in beauty related industries -Design and apply mendhi skin decoration. The qualification is recognised by the industry and the sector skills and will allow for insurance and employment to be gained.The course is achieved through approx. twenty assessments completed through continuous observations, mandatory exams, workbooks and a portfolio of evidence. 1 evening a week 6-9.30pm for 34 weeks, plus a minimum of 102 home study hours, term time only. Both theory and practical will be assessed. The course develops practical skills, application and client care and advise in advanced make-up techniques, anatomy and physiology, health and safety, home and after care advice for a range of clients.The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make-up Artistry provides learners with the necessary understanding and skills to progress into the make up artistry field. Learners can progress into other areas of the beauty industry and or directly into employment or self employment.
