Level 2 Floristry students will attend college for four hours a week; there will be an expectation of work completed outside of class and participation in work experience. The units which may be completed are: Identify, check and monitor the quality of incoming cut materials Plan, prepare and construct funeral designs Plan, prepare and construct floral arrangements Plan, prepare and construct tied floristry designs Monitoring and maintaining health and safety Display stock to promote sales to customers in a retail environment Assignments for each unit are made up of practical activities and ongoing assessments, each assessment is graded either a pass, merit or distinction. This certificate is an excellent introduction to Floristry.This course will be taught and assessed through demonstrations, practical work, theory, hand-outs and visits. Your portfolio of work will be internally and externally assessed. You will also be required to complete one online exam in the summer term.Level 2 certificate in floristry can lead to further Floristry courses and work in Floristry professions.
