Photography Intermediate builds on the beginner's course. The programme will advance and consolidate previous knowledge and introduces different genres in photography such as Landscape, Portraiture, Still Life and Social - Documentary Photography. Sessions will be focussed on genre specific skills and allow learners to have a more hands on approach and learn skills in a series of 'how to' sessions, and small projects. You will practice the underlying principles taught in 'Photography for beginners', such as Exposure techniques, lighting, focus and compositional skills. Students are asked to build a mini portfolio of work by undertaking introductory assignments in the genres. This is an excellent way to experience the different aspects of photography and to establish a personal path for further learning. You are expected to have experience of using a DSLR camera and using Aperture, Shutter and ISO. You will be expected to own and use a Digital SLR in sessions, or an advanced camera that you can change the Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO.
