This course is perfect if you have a passion for sport and want to enhance your understanding of sport and develop your sporting performance. The course will encourage you to apply sports theory to improve your performance and the performance of others. You will not only participate in a wide variety of sports but will also do practical units covering more general health and fitness. This course is ideal if you are looking for a general introduction to career opportunities in sport, leisure and the recreational industries. You will study a range of units which may include- Fitness testing & training - Practical sport - Sports injury - The effects of exercise on the body syss - Physical Requirements- You will be required to take part in practical and fitness sessions both indoors and outdoors. In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health & safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.
