Horticulture Subsidiary Diploma Level 3

This is a good course for you if you want to gain an in - depth knowledge of horticulture. This course will also suit you if you have worked in the horticulture industry for a number of years and wish to gain a recognised qualification. A typical working week will comprise of a variety of classroom sessions and a number of practical classes where advanced horticultural skills can be developed. There will also be time to meet with your tutor and work on improving your Maths and English. You will learn a huge range of skills such as how to design and landscape garden displays, establishing indoor and outdoor planting schemes, use and maintain machinery, identify plants, pests and diseases, develop business and management skills, tree establishment and maintenance, organic gardening and site surveying. In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health & safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.
