This is a good course for you if you want to gain a more technical and in - depth knowledge of agriculture. This course will also suit you if you have worked in the agriculture industry for a number of years and wish to gain a recognised qualification. A typical working week will comprise of a variety of classroom sessions and a number of practical classes where advanced agricultural skills can be developed. There will also be time to meet with your tutor and work on improving your Maths and English. You will learn a huge range of skills such as plant and soil science, livestock production, sheep production, estate skills, dairy and beef production, pig production, grassland management, business management and supervision, crop production and pollution and waste control management. In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health & safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.
