This is a good course for you if you enjoy learning through practical work and if you are artistic and want to work in a floristry shop, garden centre or other floristry jobs. This course will also suit you if you are currently working in the floristry industry and wish to gain a recognised qualification. A typical working week will comprise of some classroom sessions and lots of practical workshops. There will also be time to meet with your tutor and work on improving your Maths and English. You will learn how to prepare flowers for weddings and funerals, create hand tie designs, identify flowers and plants, and cost out and evaluate designs. In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health & safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.
