Edexcel Art (2 yr course) COURSE: Students will follow a programme that will allow for personal, creative responses to a variety of observationally based projects. Students will experience a broad range of materials and techniques used by artists. A specialist art vocabulary will be developed along with knowledge and understanding of the place of Art and Design in history and contemporary society. Visits will be made to museums and current exhibitions. PROGRESSION ROUTES: A Level Art can lead to a degree in your chosen specialism at university, a BTEC Higher National Diploma, a BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art or an Art Foundation course. Art can lead to the following careers: graphic design, textile design, illustration, web design, set dressing, interior design, jewellery design, sculpture or ceramics.
