This course is for people whose First Aid at Work Certificate is still valid and who need to renew their qualification. Re-qualification courses must be completed before the expiry of a First Aid at Work Certificate to maintain the permit to work as a First Aider. There is 28 days leeway after the expiry date to complete the Requalification but in that time the individual is not a First Aider. The re-qualification covers all the topics included in the First Aid at Work programme together with any updates in best practice and knowledge. Like the full course candidates are assessed continuously on their knowledge and skills with practical assessments throughout the course. The certificate lasts for three years from the date of course completion.
