Bench Joinery - Level 2

This course is designed for students who have completed a diploma level 1 or equivalent or have relevant trade experience and are interested in expanding their skills. The course has a range of exciting content where you will have the opportunity to test your ability and advance your technical skills against the awarding body criteria and industry requirements. You will acquire knowledge on how to quantify materials and price up jobs effectively and learn how to be competitive within the Industry. The whole range of workshop machinery and setting out routines are incorporated with all the bench practical training and assessments.Some learners from the course will be chosen to represent the college at local and national skills competitions.Tutors will support learners into dedicated work placements that will help you to develop your understanding of what the industry is about whilst preparing you for the world of work. The colleges excellent links with employers could open the door to employment with training in the form of an Apprenticeship.
