AQA specification AS1561 and A2 2561 The specification offers candidates the opportunity to further develop their knowledge and practical skills through a scientific base.There is a strong experimental influence to use a number of different media to enable the students to create visionary textiles. They work in both two and three dimensional forms creating their own fabrics through needlefelting, use of angelina fibres and a variety of fusing techniques. Students design and manufacture textile products alongside gaining an understanding of the processes and procedures of commercial textile manufacture.
