This is an open course designed to provide knowledge and understanding in a variety of computing applications using workbooks and online materials with support from a qualified tutor. All learners will undertake an initial assessment activity which will result in the recommendation of the appropriate level and course to be studied. During the course you will work independently with the support of an experienced tutor and carry out a range of practical exercises and activities to increase your experience and understanding of using a computer.

You might find it useful to bring a notebook/notepaper and pen and a USB flash drive (usually referred to as a memory stick or pen-drive) for storing information you have found on the internet, although this is not essential. There are no additional costs, but the course fees will vary depending on the programme you follow and your circumstances Will I need to do anything in my own time?
