All learners will have the freedom to develop their own ideas into one sculpture using wood stone and clay to create a combined piece. They will be shown the different ways they can create their ideas and have their work clay bisc fired (first firing). Stone carving, wood carving and clay modelling will be incorporated as skills to try, wood construction can also be an option in the use of wood.

Bring an idea with you to work from and images to help inspire work. Bring an Apron, any clay tools you may have Small fee for fired work. Clay supplied. Stone to be purchased from the tutor ranging from £5-35 depending on the size and type. Wood will need to be brought in by the learners and any wood carving tools if they have any. Stone carving tools supplied. Bring protective eye wear. Will I need to do anything in my own time? Research ideas, look in artist that use mixed material as their medium .
