Achieving a GCSE at grade C or above in English will enable you to: •Increase your confidence at work •Demonstrate to employers you have the numeracy and literacy skills they are looking for •Increase your job prospects and opportunities for promotion •Enhance your CV and job applications •Access higher level courses such as an undergraduate degree These courses will last the academic year (starting in September 2015 and finishing summer 2016). The courses will be taking place county wide, subject to demand. Candidates can choose to complete either just English or the maths GCSE as well. At the end of the course those who successful complete will gain a GCSE in English Language which is accredited by AQA. Upon completion, candidates will receive a certificate as evidence of their achievement
Name: GCSE English Language Qualification title: GCSE (9-1) in English Language Qualification type: GCSE or equivalent Assessment For the English GCSE candidates will sit two exams at the end of the course (reading and writing), worth 30% each towards the overall grade.
