Is the course right for me? Thinking about a career in Construction but don't know where to start? Looking to learn a trade but not sure which direction to go in? Fear not, this is the course for you! Our Introduction to Construction Level 1 & 2 will introduce you to a number of trades, from Carpentry and Joinery to Painting and Decorating! You will try your hand at a range of techniques and form a strong basis of skills and knowledge that can use to help you go on to higher education or employment in the industry. What will I be doing? You will learn through a mix of theory and practical work. At our Construction Centre of Excellence in Malvern, you will gain hands-on experience of brickwork, carpentry, plumbing, engineering, and painting and decorating. You will also develop your communication and teamwork skills, and learn about health and safety in the workplace. In addition to this, you will study a module called 'Functional Skills'. This will help you improve your literacy and numeracy skills through the study of English and Maths.
