You will study key concepts such as media language, media representations, media reception and media production across different areas and discover how media products are promoted across different platforms. You will also carry out cross-media studies such as broadcast or film fiction, documentary and hybrid forms, lifestyle, music, news or sport.A2 students will further develop their theoretical and production skills as well as developing the research skills essential for future study. In Unit 3 there will be a rolling programme of two pre-set topics, with an emphasis on media theories, issues and debates. Students will also research a media area of their choice and produce a production linked to their findings, to reinforce the link between research and production in the media.A project-based, academic study of the techniques, power and influence of the Media. An ideal addition to Art & Design, Film Studies or English AS/A Levels. A development of practical and analysis skills required to succeed in the Media Industry.
