Garment Making

UPDATED 20150827 13:27:36

This is an introductory course to help you get started with drafting your own patterns, whilst under the guidance of an experienced garment-maker. Students will study professional pattern cutting using block pattern manipulation techniques based on a standard size 12. During the course the students will draft a basic garment block of their choice, from which they will create a working pattern. Students will learn about dart manipulation, grain lines, balance marks and how to design simple silhouettes. No particular experience is needed to join the course apart from an enthusiastic approach.
