This course is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career working overseas for a tour operator. A programme designed to meet the needs of the travel industry in relation to Resort Representatives. The students will study 6 outcomes that are key to their successful development and understanding of the role of overseas staff. The College is pleased to offer this qualification in conjunction with major tour operators in the UK. By having such links we will guarantee an interview for every student who successfully completes the course. Course content: Prepare for Employment as a Resort Representative Describe the duties of a Resort Representative Identify the Role of the Representative in Carrying Out Airport Duties and Transfers Prepare and Present a Welcome Party Produce an Information Board and Book for Customers Use a Range of Sales Techniques to Promote Excursions and Other Services. The course will include approximately 2 hours per week home study plus 2.5 hours of teaching input per week. The course will be assessed by a variety of methods including written assignments, role play and presentations. Students will be assessed on Pass, Credit and Distinction grades.
