This non-accredited course will consolidate your intermediate skills in maintaining a conversation using a good command of vocabulary and commonly used sentence structures, improve your fluency and enjoyment of the language and culture through a variety of communicative activities. This course is suitable for people who have completed a BAEC German Intermediate course or who have German to Higher GCSE level (equivalent to grade A - C). You should be able to talk about your interests and past, present and future events using mainly correctly structures sentences and respond to clearly worded questions and comments.By the end of the course, students will have sufficient vocabulary to deal with most practical situations and will communicate confidently using everyday language to express past, present and future events, express opinions and feelings, exchange information and give short presentations. You will be assessed informally by your tutor during classroom activities. There will be regular opportunities to review your progress.You will complete Initial Assessment activities in the Target Language during the first session of the course, following which you will have an opportunity to discuss areas of strength and weaknesses with your tutor and agree personal targets for development.
