Come and learn how to make clothes to fit yourself or others. Beginners welcome. Start with a simple garment and progress to more complicated pieces. You will need to supply your own materials. You will learn: *how to measure yourself accurately*how to read, understand and make simple alterations to a commercial pattern*how to layout, cut out and mark correctly *how to complete simple alterations and a variety of seams, darts and gathers*how to put in a sleeve*various sewing techniques e.g. seams and seam finishes, hems and zip insertion Yes, you can join at any part of this course, as a fair proportion of teaching is individual 1:2:1 tuition.
