This course aims to help students further develop an interesting body of work using a wide range of materials, techniques and subjects in order to build a broad portfolio of images. It aims to help students gain confidence in their practice, explore new working methods and discover their strengths. Students are encouraged to keep a sketchbook throughout. To achieve the City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Creative Techniques you must complete four units over the duration of the course. The units are: 7156-201: Idea Development, 7156-202: Sampling Techniques – Exploring the potential of materials, 7156-203: Life drawing and 7156-204: Observational drawing
