Leaving Care: Improving Outcomes for Young People is a tutor-led online course designed to help individuals understand the issues that affect young people who have left care or are in the process of leaving care, and know how to support them. In addition, the course provides a thorough knowledge of the statutory and legal frameworks in relation to young care leavers, and the support available to them as they enter sixth form, further or higher education. The course is aimed at teachers and support workers in schools, further or higher education; foster carers and carers in Children's homes; organisers in youth associations and clubs and anyone who comes into contact with young people who are about to or have already left care
